Aruba creates some of the best commercial wireless access points in the business, allowing up to 8,000 connections on some of their controllers. However, our client, a wireless managed services firm, needed a user portal and payment gateway attached to the controller. Designed for a large community center, SourceTOAD built a system which captured users before they were allowed access to the internet and asked them to create an account. From there, they could buy blocks of air time on the controller using either PayPal or their credit cards. Once the system had received payment, it would tell the Aruba to turn on access for that user. The system also handled the accounting, reminders, and a newsletter system for the community center.
